The East Bay Pulmonary Medical Group is proud to have a team of experienced specialists who are devoted to treating people who have lung disease. The doctors who belong to our group are:

 

Herman R. Bruch, MD

Dr. Herman Bruch was one of the first lung specialists to practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Bruch completed his fellowship in pulmonary disease at the University of California, San Francisco in 1971. After his fellowship he joined the faculty at the University of California, San Francisco and founded the EBPMG. Currently Dr. Bruch also serves as an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and focuses his pulmonary practice on treating patients who have lung disease secondary to asbestos. He is board certified in Pulmonary Diseases and Internal Medicine.

Richard A. Bordow, MD

Dr. Richard Bordow has authored and co-authored over 40 publications and has edited one of the leading reference guides for the management of lung diseases. He has expertise in treating all types of lung disease, but specializes in treating patients with asthma, asbestosis, and lung disease secondary to smoking. He is board certified in Pulmonary Diseases and Internal Medicine. He holds several patents and spends part of his time developing medical systems software.

Frederick J. Nachtwey, MD

Director of Sleep Laboratory

Doctors Medical Center, Pinole

Dr. Frederick Nachtwey is board certified in Pulmonary Diseases, Sleep Disorders and Internal Medicine. After completing his fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at the University of California, San Diego in 1980 he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to join the EBPMG. He later trained in Clinical Polysomnography (sleep medicine) that the world-renown Stanford University Medical Center School of Sleep Medicine. He then established the Sleep Laboratory at Doctors Medical Center in Pinole. He now splits his time treating patients with pulmonary diseases and obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep disorders.
